1990s
The First Meeting
The Caribbean Core Banking User Group began in the early 1990s when a group of Caribbean Banks came together to select a Core Banking software. The first meeting was held in Springfield, Missouri in 1990.
2000
Caribbean Access Users Group
The Group began as the Caribbean Access Users Group (ACCESS being the name of the core banking application at the time) and was later changed to CBUG when JHA launched the browser version of the application - Core Director - in 2000.
2017
Core Director Software
As at October 2017, there are twenty one (21) Caribbean and Central and South America region banks running the Core Director software.
